Weight Loss after Pregnancy

Babies are precious gifts from God. We need to love, cherish and nurture them in the required way.

However, when we have a problem with losing the weight that comes with pregnancy, we may not show our babies the kind of love that they need. This is not good at all.

You need to reclaim back your body and get the kind of shape that you want for you to feel good.

Pregnancies can come with insecurities and until you get back on your feet, you may not have the ideal self esteem that you should be having. At the same time, you may regret having the baby and this is wrong.

 The dilemma

There is real dilemma when trying to lose weight after pregnancy. Remember, you would need to have milk so that baby gets food and this demands that you feed well.

The problem that many people do is that they imagine that feeding well is the same as feeding carelessly.

You can ensure that you are eating the right food so that you get milk and also shape. You can get these two together.

Eating well here would mean that you ensure you have a balance by including fruits, vegetables and whole grain when you are planning a meal.

It also means that you have to eat only when you feel hungry. It will make a great difference when you tune yourself not to respond to the cravings that you would have for eating wrong foods and at the wrong times. Still, you can choose to eat frequently but in smaller bits.

Patience will pay

It is possible to lose weight after pregnancy but it takes time. However, the length of time that it takes would depend on how you approach the task.

You have to close your ears to all the myths that would surround exercise after pregnancy. For instance, it is wrong to imagine that you should not exercise until after six weeks.

You need to be patient so that you see results. You would have to keep on the exercise even if you just start with a few minutes.

You can extend as you adjust and as time passes. You have to tune your attitude so that you know what you need to be doing and stick to it.

Finally, even when you are trying to gain the lost energy and blood that you lost while giving birth, you would need to track the kind of foods that you are taking.

You must be sure that there is perfect balance of calories and fats so that you maintain the weight that you want.
